Doutta Galla COVID-19

17 April 2022

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

I would like to inform you that, yesterday afternoon I was advised that a resident has tested positive to COVID-19 at our Lynch’s Bridge Home. This means that we have implemented our outbreak management plan and reintroduced a precautionary response to safeguard our Home as best we can.

Staff are wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when attending to residents, and all staff will continue to be tested before commencing their shifts. Our staff continue in their unwavering commitment to ensuring the highest standard of infection control practices are in place, and we will continue to monitor the situation.
Presently, the resident is comfortable and isolating in their room, and the family of this resident has been notified.

Currently, no other residents are showing symptoms of COVID-19 and the COVID19 screening tool has also been implemented to closely monitor residents.  The Home has already completed a round of RAT testing today and there are no further residents who have tested positive.  Further RAT testing for residents will now be undertaken every 72hrs until we have a clearance.
Essential visitors and Partners in Care can continue to attend the home to support their loved ones.
We will advise you immediately of any changes to you or your family member’s health status. For further information you can call the Lynch’s Bridge Home on 9376 2111. In addition, you are welcome to contact us via covid19questions@dgas.org.au
