Doutta Galla COVID-19

17 June 2022

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

I am pleased to inform Doutta Galla has received clearance from the Western Public Health Unit to remove any outbreak measures throughout our Lynch’s Bridge Home, following the recent exposure.    All our residents have now returned negative results to COVID-19.  The residents that had tested positive recovering and are no longer isolating.

We will however continue to closely monitor all the residents’ health and wellbeing.

Staff will continue to test for COVID-19 before they commence their shifts and are wear mask and face shield when attending to residents.

The spread of the virus in the community is not easing as quickly as we hope and Doutta Galla will continue to maintain its vigilance, and ensure the Home adheres to the latest COVID-19 safe practices to minimise any further exposures.

When you choose to visit the Home, you will still need to have a RAT test prior to entering the Home and we ask you to be patient with our staff and follow their instructions as they welcome you back to the Home.

We will advise you immediately of any changes to you or your family member’s health status.  For further information you can reach out to our administration staff at Lynch’s Bridge Home by calling on (03) 9376 2111.  In addition, you are welcome to contact us via covid19questions@dgas.org.au.

For more support and advice during this time, please reach out to OPAN (Older Persons Advisory Network) on 1800 237 981 or Elder Rights Advocacy Victoria on 1800 171 866.  They are available 6am-10pm, 7 days a week.

Doutta Galla appreciates your support and patience during this time.

Yours sincerely,
