Doutta Galla COVID-19

17 August 2021

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

Following my correspondence on Sunday 15 August 2021, I am pleased to advise that all residents and staff at Queens Park have returned a negative COVID-19 test result. We are reassured by this news and will continue to undertake a precautionary response in the short term for the ongoing protection of our residents and staff at Queens Park.

As part of our precautionary response, a further round of COVID-19 testing for residents and staff will be conducted on Friday 20 August 2021. We will continue to monitor the situation and will review our next steps following the results of the second round of tests. It is envisaged that once we receive a second round of negative test results, we will be able to return to COVID safe visitor restrictions in line with DHHS Directions, as quickly as possible. Of course, if there is any change to a resident’s health, we will inform you and your loved one immediately.

I am pleased to report that residents are well, with staff supporting them to remain connected with their family via video and phone calls, as well as staff providing individual support to residents in their room.

Our team at Queens Park are providing increased monitoring and screening for COVID-19 symptoms. We continue to monitor entry protocols to the Home to ensure temperature checks, checking of exposure sites, signing of a health attestation and QR scanning are undertaken by staff and essential visitors.

Once again, I thank you for your support and cooperation during this precautionary response undertaken by the Queens Park Home.

If you have an enquiry or concern about your family member, please call Queens Park on 03 9372 8895. In addition, we have an email address where you can send any questions, comments or concerns related to COVID-19. The email address is
