Dear Residents, Families and Friends,
I am pleased to inform you that the Western Health Unit has given clearance to remove the most recent COVID-19 outbreak measures at our Doutta Galla Woornack Home.
All of the residents have returned negative results to COVID-19 and for those residents who had tested positive, I am happy to say that they are recovering well. We will continue to closely monitor the health and wellbeing of all Woornack residents.
Our staff are committed to ensuring the highest standard of infection control practices, and they will continue to complete Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) prior to commencing their shifts. We kindly request that all visitors also undertake a RAT prior to coming to the Home. You are welcome to complete a RAT before visiting to save time once you arrive. Please be patient with our staff and follow their instructions as they welcome you back to the Home.
The Winter season is not over yet and there is still a high level of transmission of COVID-19 in the community. For those who are eligible, we encourage you to have a booster to provide you with additional protection. People who are vulnerable and /or at risk of severe COVID illness are encouraged to wear a mask whenever in public areas.
For further information you can contact our administration staff on (03) 9312 0111. In addition, you are welcome to contact us via email at covid19questions@dgas.org.au
