Doutta Galla COVID-19

21 December 2020

Dear Residents, Families and Friends of Doutta Galla Aged Services

A Message from the Chair of Doutta Galla

This has been a year like no other, a year that none of us ever expected.  It has tested not only our resilience but our ability to adapt and change our “normal” way of life.  It has meant that we have been apart from our loved ones and for many residents in aged care, the staff have taken on the role of carer and friend.  I am grateful for the staff who have been able to do this and pleased that you are again able to visit each other with real contact – albeit in a COVID safe way.

On behalf of the Doutta Galla Board of Directors and Management I want to thank you for your understanding and your support to each other, to our staff and to the residents and friends of Doutta Galla.  We have endured pain and loss this year and will continue to do our best to keep this insidious virus out of our homes and community.

To all residents and friends of Doutta Galla, we say thank you.  As the Chair of the Doutta Galla Board, I am immensely proud of our residents and and on behalf of the Directors, I want to express our appreciation for the patience and resilience you have shown during a very difficult period.

Although the community transmission of the virus is now under control, we must all remain vigilant and keep our residents and ourselves safe.

I would like to wish you and your family a happy and safe festive season.  We look forward to a new year.

Your sincerely

Scott Chapman
