Doutta Galla COVID-19

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

As advised yesterday another round of COVID-19 testing has occurred today and we anticipate receiving the results shortly. It seems to be taking longer to obtain results from Monday 18 October testing which we suspect is because of the high level of community transmission and high rate of testing.

However, this afternoon we received some results from latest round of testing. Regrettably, one more resident and one staff member have returned a positive test result. The resident involved and their family have been notified and this resident remains well.

We anticipate another round of testing on Saturday 23rd October and will advise the outcome once we have the results.

All residents in the Home remain comfortable and are being supported by staff. Our priority in providing ongoing comfort, care and support of our residents is unwavering and the activation of the outbreak management plan remains in place.

We are continuing to closely monitor the wellbeing of our residents and we will inform you of any major changes as this situation unfolds.

If you have an enquiry or concern or if you wish to make contact with your family member via video call or to set up a window visit, please contact staff at Lynch’s Bridge or call on 9376 2111. In addition, you are welcome to contact us via covid19questions@dgas.org.au.

For more support and advice during this time, please reach out to OPAN (Older Persons Advisory Network) on 1800 237 981 or Elder Rights Advocacy Victoria on 1800 171 866. They are available 6am-10pm, 7 days a week. We will continue to keep in touch on a regular basis and thank you for your support during this challenging time.

Yours sincerely,
