Doutta Galla COVID-19

24 June 2022

Dear Resident, Families and Friends,

I am delighted to inform you that this afternoon, the Western Public Health Unit has advised us that the Avondale Heights Home has clearance to remove any outbreak measures.  All our residents have now returned negative results to COVID-19.  The good news is that all the residents that had tested positive are recovering and do not need to isolate any longer.

We will continue to closely monitor the residents’ health and wellbeing.

The spread of the virus in the community is not easing as quickly as we hope and Doutta Galla will continue to maintain its vigilance, and ensure the Home adheres to the latest COVID-19 safe practices to minimise any further exposures.

When you choose to visit the Home, you will still need to have a RAT test prior to entering the Home.  We ask you to be patient with our staff and follow their instructions as they welcome you back to the Home.

If you have any questions, you can contact the administration staff at Avondale Heights Home on 03 9325 0000 or you can email us via covid19questions@dgas.org.au
