Doutta Galla COVID-19

27 May 2021

Dear Doutta Galla Client

As you will all be aware, the Acting Premier James Merlino today announced that Victoria will move to “circuit breaker” restrictions from 11:59pm tonight.  At this stage, the restrictions will remain in place until 11:59pm on 3 June 2021.

As Doutta Galla West is considered an essential service it will continue to operate throughout the lockdown.  There will be no change to your scheduled service at this stage.  Our Domestic Assistant team have been trained to clean and conduct their work in a COVID safe manner, however if you prefer not to have service and would like to cancel the service during the lock down period please contact our Domestic Assistance Coordinator Trudy Grima on 0403 416 211 as soon as possible to make other arrangements

You can also contact Trudy Grima if you have any other questions and can contact us via the email address covid19questions@dgas.org.au.

This lockdown reminds us again that this pandemic is not over.  We urge you to follow carefully the restrictions announced today by the Acting Premier and remind those who are eligible that vaccination is one of the key steps in helping to stop the spread of the virus.

Also, I would like to let you know that all my general communications, are available on the Doutta Galla website at https://www.dgas.org.au/coronavirus-updates/ and can be accessed at any time.

If you or your family would like more support during this time, please reach out to OPAN (Older Persons Advisory Network) on 1800 237 981.  They are available 6am-10pm, 7 days a week.  The other organisation that can assist you is Elder Rights Advocacy Victoria who can be reached on 1800 171 866 for support and advice.

Yours sincerely,

Vanda Iaconese
