Dear Resident, Families and Friends,
I am delighted to inform you that this morning, the Western Public Health Unit has advised us that the Woornack Home has been given clearance to remove any outbreak measures.
All our residents have now returned negative results to COVID-19. The good news is that all the residents that had tested positive are recovering and do not need to isolate any longer. We will continue to closely monitor the residents’ health and wellbeing.
The spread of the virus in the community is not easing as quickly as we hope and Doutta Galla will continue to maintain its vigilance, and ensure the Home adheres to the latest COVID-19 safe practices to minimise any further exposures.
When you choose to visit the Home, you will still need to have a RAT test prior to entering the Home. We ask you to be patient with our staff and follow their instructions as they welcome you back to the Home.
We are still testing all our staff before they commence their shifts, and our staff will ensure the highest standard of infection control practices are in place. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed.
For further information you can reach out to our administration staff at our Woornack Home on (03) 9312 0111. In addition, you are welcome to contact us via covid19questions@dgas.org.au
