Doutta Galla COVID-19

Media statement – Doutta Galla Aged Services

Doutta Galla Aged Services was advised on the afternoon of Tuesday 7 July by the Department of Health and Human Services that a trainee working at Doutta Galla Lynch’s Bridge Aged Care Home had tested positive to COVID-19 (coronavirus).

As a result, Doutta Galla has activated our emergency response plan, contact tracing and testing has occurred on Wednesday 8 July 2020.  We have today received advice that all residents and staff tested to date have received negative results.

We are continuing to monitor the health and wellbeing of residents.

Currently we do not have any staff or residents showing symptoms of COVID 19 at any of our homes.

Except for special circumstances Doutta Galla has put visitor restrictions in until the home is cleared of quarantine.  Additional staff have been engaged to continue to provide care and support to residents and to provide regular updates to residents and their representatives. A deep clean of the Home has occurred and increased cleaning protocols continue to be in place.

Doutta Galla is a proud organisation supporting our aged care community in the Western suburbs.  We know that we are in and near the suburbs that have been most severely affected by the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, and we remain vigilant in the care, protection and support of our residents.
