New Staff Uniforms Where Every Thread Matters

I am delighted to announce that Doutta Galla is launching new uniforms for our employees. This is more than a change in appearance – it’s a celebration of our people and the extraordinary work they do every day as well as the beginning of a modern, unified culture focused on delivering great aged care, support services, and quality care.

Why the Change? – Improving Clarity, Care, and Resident Experience

The new uniforms are more than fabric or colour; they represent pride, professionalism, and identity. These are not just stylistic choices; they are designed to bring clarity, visibility, and confidence to our homes.

For our residents, clear visual cues are essential; they help individuals, especially those living with dementia, easily recognise roles, reducing confusion and supporting emotional safety. For families and visitors, a consistent look provides reassurance that your loved one is surrounded by a capable and well organised team.

Role-Based Uniform Colours – Staff Uniform Guide

The following colours have been assigned to each role:

• Clinical Care Coordinators: Dark navy-blue scrubs

• Registered Nurse: Royal blue scrubs

• Enrolled Nurses: Light blue scrubs

• Personal Care Assistants: Teal green scrubs

• Leisure/Lifestyle Team: Green/blue design or Pink design scrubs

• Food Service Assistants: Black scrubs

• Customer Service Officers: Black blouse or top

What You’ll Notice – Rollout Across Doutta Galla Homes

With a workforce of almost a thousand staff across our homes, this transition will be phased. The official launch was held on Wednesday 3 December at Footscray and will continue across all homes over the next two weeks.
