Planning for your Support at Home care should be clear and straightforward. To help you understand the costs associated with our range of services, we’ve prepared a detailed price list.
What's in the price list
- Funded Classifications — quarterly and annual funded amounts for Transitioned HCP and Support at Home classifications, Levels 1 to 8
- Clinical Care — Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Allied Health
- Support Services — personal care, medication administration, social support and transport
- Home Assistance — house cleaning, laundry, shopping assistance, home and garden maintenance
- Important notes — care management fees (10% deduction applies to all classifications), effective dates and payment terms

What is Support at Home and how do I apply?
Support at Home is the Australian Government program that helps older people stay independent at home, with services like personal care, nursing, transport and help around the house. Home Care Packages moved to Support at Home from 1 November 2025, under the Aged Care Act 2024. You apply through My Aged Care (1800 200 422), which arranges a free assessment. Doutta Galla’s team can support you through the assessment and handle the paperwork.
How much does home care cost with Doutta Galla?
Costs depend on your Support at Home classification and the services you choose. Our price list on the Home Care Costs page sets out the hourly rate for each service, with higher rates for evenings, weekends and public holidays. A care management fee applies, full pensioners generally pay no contribution, and services can also be purchased privately. Call us on (03) 9680 3300 for a personalised estimate.
Can I switch to Doutta Galla if I already have a Home Care Package with another provider?
Yes. You can change providers at any time, and your funding moves with you. Contact our in-home care team and we’ll help coordinate the transfer with your current provider so your services continue without interruption.
What is the difference between a Home Care Package and CHSP?
CHSP provides entry-level, subsidised support for people with lower needs, usually a few hours of help per week. A Home Care Package (now Support at Home) provides a coordinated budget for people with more complex or ongoing needs, covering a wider range of clinical and personal care services. Your My Aged Care assessment determines which is right for you.
What is the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and who is eligible?
CHSP provides entry-level home support, such as cleaning, shopping, social support and transport, for people who need a little help to stay independent. Doutta Galla assists people aged 65 and over, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 and over, and people over 50 facing hardship or homelessness. Access is via a My Aged Care assessment.
