Dear Residents, Family and Friends,

After a challenging start to 2022, with all of the Doutta Galla Homes and services impacted by COVID-19 to varying degrees, we are starting to see a settling of the level of community transmission and our Homes and services are currently COVID-19 free.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the support, patience, and goodwill you have shown to Doutta Galla.  Thank you for entrusting us to care for you, or your family member, during the most impactful and demanding of times.

Our staff have been outstanding, and I want to acknowledge them publicly.

As we move into the cooler months, and the future still unsure, it is essential that every one of us stay alert and do our best to minimise the impact on our residents and clients.  Keeping safe and caring for some of the most vulnerable people in the community remains our priority.

It has been a tough time and has highlighted for me the strength and resilience of the amazing residents and clients in our care.  Our residents, families and staff have constantly adjusted and adapted to the many changes and restrictions that we were asked to put in place.  We know it was not easy, and we have appreciated how you engaged, encouraged and reminded us that the work we do does matter.

In addition to the English language, we have over 20 different languages spoken across our Doutta Galla Homes…so however you say it in your language…it is a very big “Thank you from all of us.
