Doutta Galla Aged Services will be transitioning to brand new uniforms for employees working within Residential Aged Care (RAC). The new uniforms will be launched 27 November 2025.
- Why are we getting new uniforms?
During the “Have Your Say” process, employees at Doutta Galla residential aged care homes overwhelmingly said that they wanted a uniform that was more comfortable and enabled residents to distinguish between each role.
- Why are we getting scrubs?
These were voted the most comfortable and the best fit for purpose while carrying out your daily tasks.
- How do I get my new uniform?
The Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) team will be attending all RAC homes between 27 November and 5 December 2025. Each employee is invited to attend the Doutta Galla home where you work to be allocated a uniform. This is optional, as you can wait until you are on shift (but the L&OD team are only present on the allocated day/s) You will be able to try on a sample uniform and order additional uniforms (within your allocated amounts).
- How many uniforms will I be entitled to?
- Full-Time Employees – 3 Uniforms
- Part-Time Employees – 2 to 3 Uniforms depending on allocated hours
- Casual Employees – 1 to 2 Uniforms depending on average hours worked
- What are the uniform colours?
The following colours have been assigned to each role:
- Clinical Care Coordinators – Dark navy-blue scrubs with a collar
- Registered Nurses – Royal blue scrubs
- Enrolled Nurses – Ceil blue scrubs
- Personal Care Assistants – Dark teal scrubs
- Leisure/Lifestyle team – Green/blue design OR Pink design scrubs
- Food Service Assistants – Black scrubs
- Customer Service Officers – Black blouse or top
- Will I receive my uniform allocation straight away?
New uniforms are being allocated to all roles across RAC. In order to ensure that every person has access to at least one uniform, you will initially be allocated ONE uniform with additional uniforms to be provided as they become available.
You can continue to wear your current uniform while the new uniform is being laundered during the transition phase.
- How often will my uniform be replaced?
You will be eligible to receive new uniforms annually. This will be determined through consultation with the Residential Service Manager. You must return previously allocated uniforms in order to receive replacement uniforms.
- What if I want more uniforms than what I am allocated?
You are able to purchase additional uniforms at your own expense by contacting the Customer Service Officer (admin) via email at the home that you.
