Thank you for your support as we continue to work together to keep our Doutta Galla Avondale Heights community COVID-19 safe.
Following our round of COVID testing that took place over the weekend, I am pleased to advise that all tests have returned a negative result and residents remain symptom free. On this basis we will return the Home to COVID-19 safe practices and visitor restrictions in line with Government Directions. These Directions allow for visits for end-of-life reasons and in special circumstances within the home. Please call the Manager to make arrangement for these visits.
We understand how important it is for residents to be connected to their loved ones, our window visits and video calls are being facilitated by the Home. In addition we are supporting residents to keep connected with their loved ones through the Family and Friends Visitors hub. Please call the home administration team to make a booking.
As you know vaccination is a key strategy to defeating this virus and Doutta Galla encourages you and your families who are yet to be vaccinated to consider being vaccinated.
As part of our proactive approach, a Family & Friends Vaccination Clinic Hub at the Doutta Galla Footscray RSL Building, 48 Geelong Rd Footscray, has been set up to facilitate access to the free Pfizer vaccinations for families and friends . The first dose will be available on 13 October 2021, and the second dose will be available on 3 November 2021.
