Doutta Galla Aged Care Services (Doutta Galla) is a not-for-profit, community-based, non-denominational organisation serving Melbourne’s West and regional Victoria since 1991. We are committed to providing accessible, affordable and quality aged care, regardless of religious, socioeconomic and ethnic background. Our residents come from all walks of life, with a variety of interests, living together in well-supported and welcoming communities.
We take very seriously the care, protection, and support we provide to our residents and staff. Management and the staff at Harmony Village, are already well prepared and staff have been trained to ensure the highest standard of infection control practices are in place.
There is currently NOT a COVID-19 outbreak at Harmony Village, and no residents or staff have tested positive to COVID-19.
COVID-19 is currently circulating in the Shepparton community, and a number of high-risk locations within the community have been identified.
As we are determined to do all we can to keep the virus out of our Home, Doutta Galla is taking strong precautionary measures and has already activated its emergency response plan for the Home. This will stay in place until we can be totally confident that the Home and our independent living unit residents and staff have not been affected by the virus.
