Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

I am writing to let you know the Goulburn Valley Primary Health Unit has advised us that the Doutta Galla Harmony Village Residential Home has been given clearance to remove COVID-19 outbreak measures.

All our residents have returned negative results to COVID-19. The good news is that the resident that had tested positive is recovering. We will however continue to closely monitor this resident and all other residents’ health and wellbeing.
As you know we are beginning to see another rise of community infection rates due to the new COVID variants and the winter flu. For those who are eligible we encourage you to have a booster or winter immunisation dose to provide you with additional protection. It is also recommended that if you are visiting areas with lots of people such as shopping centres, that you consider wearing a mask.

Doutta Galla will continue to maintain its vigilance, and ensure the Home adheres to the latest COVID-19 safe practices to minimise any further exposures. We will continue to test our staff before they commence their shifts, and our staff will ensure the highest standard of infection control practices are in place.

When you choose to visit the Home, you will still need to have a Rapid Antigen Test prior to entering the Home. If you can have one prior to attending the Home that will help with reduce wait times and give you more time with visiting your loved one. We do ask that you be patient with our staff and follow their instructions as they welcome you back to the Home.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed.
