Statement of Clearance

Doutta Galla Aged Services is pleased to advise that since the initial advice that one staff member at Doutta Galla Footscray had returned a COVID 19 positive test, all residents and staff tested for COVID 19 returned negative results meaning the virus is not present in the home. On Tuesday 19 May 2020 the Public Health Operations, Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response (Department of Health and Human Services) formally cleared Doutta Galla Footscray aged care home of COVID 19.

Our approach to this issue was precautionary, working closely with both state and federal Health departments to implement our Clinical COVID-19 response plan which included a rigorous process of contact tracing, testing, increased infection control, use of PPE and additional and deep cleaning regimes.
