A message from the Chair of Doutta Galla about the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer
Dear Residents, Family and Friends,
Many of you will be aware that Vanda Iaconese, our CEO of 10 years is retiring and finishing with Doutta Galla on the 12th January 2024. I will certainly have more to say about Vanda and her incredible contribution to Doutta Galla closer to that time. However, I wanted to let you all know that after an extensive search for a new CEO, the Board has appointed Glenn Rappensberg. Glenn will commence with us on 8th January 2024.
Glenn has 35-years’ experience in the human service sector, during which time he has held significant leadership positions (both clinical and administrative) within health, disability, and community service environments (inclusive of local government). He has a substantial track record within the research community and brings a strong grasp on human service sector funding and regulations across local, state, and federal boundaries.
As a long standing and highly respected CEO, Glenn is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Boandik Lodge Incorporated, a provider of aged care services across the Limestone Coast of South Australia. More recently, Glenn has successfully implemented a ‘roadmap to a sustainable future’ for Boandik focused on going beyond compliance to achieve excellence. Glenn is married and has two adult children, one of which resides in Melbourne. Glenn has recently become a grandfather, with his first grandchild also residing in Melbourne.
The Board looks forward to working with Glenn and the management team in continuing the valuable contribution made by Vanda in care and service to all residents, families and clients as well as to staff. I am sure you will all join with me in welcoming Glenn to both Doutta Galla and to Melbourne.
